NanoSen-AQM organises its kick-off meeting in Madrid

Categoría Management of projects approved

On 20th April, NanoSen-AQM Project met for the first time in Madrid in the Institute of Physics Technologies and Information of the Superior Council for Scientific Researches (ITEFI –CSIC), main beneficiaries and coordinator of the Project. During the event, the participants discussed about the locations, platforms and conditions which will be used for monitoring pilot experiments to measure the air quality and which will be made through a multi-sensor system.

NanoSen-AQM is an ambitious project which will favour air quality improvement, through a low cost and low consumption electronic system to be applied to massive monitoring of air quality. For this purpose, the project will use innovative gazes sensors based on nanomaterials, an electronic system with multiple sensors and a cloud system to analyse the data- This electronic system will be integrated in air quality monitoring platforms both traditional (stations, mobile unities) and innovative (drones, bicycles) located in urban, rural and natural areas of Extremadura, Avila, Barcelona, Evora and Lisboa. Furthermore, they will develop awareness campaigns and boost citizens’ participation regarding atmosphere pollution measuring through personal instruments in the cities of Barcelona, Madrid and Toulouse.
