Transhumance has played a crucial role in the economy and rural life of the province of Le\u00f3n, connecting shepherds with the routes that led to the mountain passes in search of summer pastures. However, changes in production patterns, rural depopulation and economic difficulties are seriously threatening this traditional practice.<\/p>\n
