Pablo Est\u00e9vez Torrado, representative of Gestagua, presented the progress of the I-ReWater project at the \u20185th International Water Congress. Water as a sustainable resource \u2013 science, business and well-being\u2019<\/i>, held at the Ourense Campus of the University of Vigo.<\/p>\n
The presentation was part of the symposium on the circular economy and generated an interesting debate among attendees, particularly regarding the project’s pilot schemes and the process of legalising reclaimed urban water in the municipalities of Carballo and Lugo.<\/p>\n
Gestagua is one of the partner entities of I-ReWater, collaborating as a technology partner by supplying reclaimed water from the tertiary treatment of four urban wastewater treatment plants located in Carballo (A Coru\u00f1a) and Lugo, for use in irrigating the hop cultivation pilot plots in Abegondo (A Coru\u00f1a) and Cubillos del Sil (Le\u00f3n).<\/p>\n
