On Friday, 6 June, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., an awareness-raising and open house event was held at the Cubillos del Sil pilot site as part of the I-ReWater project.<\/a><\/p>\n

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the trials being conducted with regenerated urban water to study its impact on crops.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with a tasting of experimental beers made with hops harvested in 2024 at the project’s two hop pilot sites in Abegondo (A Coru\u00f1a, Galicia) and this farm in Cubillos del Sil (Castilla y Le\u00f3n). The plots are owned by LUTEGA and SAT L\u00fapulos de Le\u00f3n, respectively.<\/p>\n

With the aim of improving knowledge about the use of reclaimed water in agricultural irrigation, the 15 I-ReWater pilot projects are organising open days and awareness-raising events. This was the second of the fifteen planned, with the next one taking place on Tuesday 17th at the hop pilot project in Abegondo. Check here<\/u><\/a> for the calendar of all the conferences.<\/p>\n
