On 17 July 2025, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragan\u00e7a (IPB)<\/a> organised an awareness-raising and open day at the almond pilot project in Alf\u00e2ndega da F\u00e9, Portugal, to showcase the work they are doing on studying the use of reclaimed water in this crop. The event took place at the Municipal Auditorium, Casa da Cultura Mestre Jos\u00e9 Rodrigues.<\/p>\n

Programme
\n<\/strong>The day began with speeches by the Mayor of Alf\u00e2ndega da F\u00e9 and the President of the Alf\u00e2ndega da F\u00e9 Agricultural Cooperative. This was followed by presentations on good practices for efficient water use in agriculture, the valorisation of the hydro-agricultural potential of Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes and the reuse of water in agriculture, in collaboration with the pilot’s technology partner, \u00c1guas do Norte, and a debate with the attendees.
\nAfter presenting an update on the progress of the I-Rewater project, the day ended with a visit to the experimental pilot in Alf\u00e2ndega da F\u00e9.<\/p>\n
