The project officially launched in M\u00e1laga with a kick-off meeting held at the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of M\u00e1laga, bringing together representatives from universities, technology centres, business associations and companies from Spain, France and Portugal. During the meeting, partners presented the project roadmap for the next 36 months and coordinated the first activities to be implemented in the coming months.<\/p>\n
The discussion focused on enabling agricultural SMEs in the SUDOE region to access and integrate advanced technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence and digital twins into their production processes. This approach aims to accelerate the transition towards Agriculture 5.0, combining environmental sustainability, resource circularity and improved productivity.<\/p>\n
The project is implemented by an international consortium of 13 partners and 3 associated partners, bringing together expertise in robotics, artificial intelligence, sustainability, technology transfer, financing and agricultural applications. Initial actions include mapping critical agricultural processes where robotics can reduce environmental impact, developing pilot programmes based on digital twins and establishing transnational living labs where farmers, researchers and companies will co-create and test innovative solutions.<\/p>\n
