\ud83e\udd1d The CHU of Toulouse, project leader, is proud to cooperate with 5 entities distributed across 3 European countries (France, Spain, Portugal): CHU de Limoges, P\u00f4le Biologie \u2013 Pharmacie | Fundaci\u00f3 Salut i Envelliment | Fundaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica Andaluza para la Investigaci\u00f3n de M\u00e1laga en Biomedicina y Salud | Universidade de Aveiro – Departamento de Ci\u00eancias M\u00e9dicas | Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico da Guarda – Escola Superior de Sa\u00fade Unidade T\u00e9cnico-Cient\u00edfica – Tecnologias da Sa\u00fade. The signing of this agreement marks the official funding of the project by the European Union (EU).<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfaf The STOP IATRO project aims to ensure that professionals involved in the medical care of elderly patients are aware of the risks related to iatrogenesis (adverse consequences of medical care on an individual’s health). The main objective of the project is to implement collective strategies to prevent complications associated with healthcare, which are responsible for the loss of autonomy in the elderly, relying particularly on the recommendations of the WHO (World Health Organization).<\/p>\n

Thanks to Isabelle Roger, director of the joint secretariat of the Interreg Sudoe program, and Mr. Antonio Teles, communications manager of the joint secretariat, for their support during this meeting.<\/p>\n
