The municipality of Cald\u00e8s de Montbui <\/strong>received the European<\/strong> delegation\u00a0 of the ThermEcoWat project<\/strong>, from 22 to 24 October 2024 on the occasion of the 2nd transnational workshop\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Workshop and the presentation of Caldes de Montbui to the ThermEcoWat partners<\/span><\/h3>\n

The municipality of Cald\u00e8s de Montbui <\/strong>received the European delegation of the ThermEcoWat project<\/strong>, from 22 to 24 October 2024<\/strong> on the occasion of the 2nd transnational workshop <\/strong>for the presentation of the first results and the working methodology of the WG2 dedicated to the estimation of the current impacts and future economic implications of adaptation to climate change.<\/p>\n

Two days were organised alternating conferences<\/strong>, group work sessions and field visits<\/strong> to discover the spa town of Cald\u00e8s de Montbui, <\/strong>installed on hot springs gushing out at the highest temperature in Europe<\/strong> (74\u00b0) and with the\u00a0 best preserved Roman baths<\/strong> on the peninsula.<\/p>\n

Introduction and official welcome by the municipal team of Cald\u00e8s de Montbui<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Presentation of the challenges of the ThermEcoWat <\/strong>\u00a0project and Q&A by Marion Roussel, Head of European Cooperation \u2013 Thermauvergne<\/strong> (FR)<\/p>\n

– Star debate: Round tables on natural, legal and economic provisions, constraints and risks in the face of climate change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– Presentation of the results of the analysis of the humanities and social sciences<\/strong> for the member cities and territories by Sylvia Becerra, researcher at the CNRS in Toulouse (FR)<\/p>\n

– Introduction to the thermal ecosystem in Spain <\/strong>and Caldes de Montbui<\/strong> by Isidre Pineda, Mayor of Caldes de Montbui<\/strong> (ES)<\/p>\n

– Visits to the Roman thermal site<\/strong>, fountains, washhouse, thermal garden… with the Thermalia Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n

–Geothermal energy<\/strong>. An overview and use cases by Georgina Arn\u00f3, Catalan Cartographic and Geological Institute (ES)<\/p>\n

– The geological heritage of Caldes de Montbui<\/strong> ; the origin of the thermal waters by Georgina Arn\u00f3, Catalan Cartographic and Geological Institute (ES)<\/p>\n

– Geophysical studies in S\u00e3o Pedro do<\/strong> Sul carried out within the framework of ThermEcoWat <\/strong>to improve its hydrogeological model by Elsa Ramalho, National Laboratory of Energy and Geology (PT)<\/p>\n

– 3D modelling of the Chaudes-Aigues geothermal system<\/strong> (French Massif Central) by S\u00e9verine Caritg, BRGM Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes (FR)<\/p>\n
