This approach leverages advanced tools such as <strong data-start=\"258\" data-end=\"280\">molecular modeling<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"282\" data-end=\"311\">computational simulations<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"317\" data-end=\"360\">artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms<\/strong> to discover new indications for existing drugs, helping to accelerate the development of treatments for various diseases.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"491\">This project brings together prestigious institutions such as the <strong data-start=\"66\" data-end=\"101\">Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico da Guarda<\/strong> (Portugal), the <strong data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"144\">Universidade da Coru\u00f1a<\/strong>, and the <strong data-start=\"154\" data-end=\"196\">Universidade de Santiago de Compostela<\/strong> (Spain). Researchers are leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including <strong data-start=\"270\" data-end=\"304\">molecular dynamics simulations<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"309\" data-end=\"330\">molecular docking<\/strong>, to better understand how drugs interact at the molecular level with proteins and cells\u2014an approach that could revolutionize the way treatments are developed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"493\" data-end=\"754\">The research group is also involved in major European initiatives such as <strong data-start=\"567\" data-end=\"578\">REPO4EU<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"597\">REMEDi4ALL<\/strong>, which promote drug repositioning as a faster and more cost-effective alternative to the high costs and long development timelines of new pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"1147\" data-is-last-node=\"\">With the support of digital tools and the power of advanced computing, RePo-SUDOE aims to accelerate the discovery of new treatments for diseases that currently lack effective therapeutic options.
