During the meeting, the REMAIN project was presented, along with an update on its progress.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Minister of Industry, the meeting was attended by Rosana Per\u00e1n Baz\u00e1n, President of FICE; Salvador G\u00f3mez, Secretary General of FICE; Milagros L\u00f3pez, Director of Administration and Finance; Ester Olivas, Director General of Entrepreneurship and Internationalization (IVACE); Vicente Pastor, President of the Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (Avecal); and Mari \u00c1ngeles L\u00f3pez, Secretary General of Avecal.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion focused on one of the key objectives of the REMAIN project: promoting sustainability within the footwear, textile, and furniture industries. The project aims to introduce remanufacturing as part of the business model in these sectors to reduce waste generation and minimize the environmental impact of industrial activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The REMAIN project is led by INESCOP \u2013 the Spanish Footwear Technology Center \u2013 and involves the participation of the Spanish Footwear Industries Federation (FICE), AIDA CCI, and the Universities of Alicante, Clermont Auvergne INP, Coimbra, and Zaragoza.
