A clear example of this collaboration is the <strong data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"546\">three-month stay of two PhD students from the University of Santiago de Compostela<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"589\">Polytechnic Institute of Guarda<\/strong> in Portugal, as part of the project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"1386\">During their stay, <strong data-start=\"647\" data-end=\"663\">Daniel Conde<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"686\">Alejandro Seco<\/strong> are working on innovative projects in two key areas: <strong data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"756\">pharmacology<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"797\">biological systems visualization<\/strong>. Daniel is focused on creating <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"856\">computational protocols<\/strong> for the efficient study of <strong data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"905\">drug interactions<\/strong> with therapeutic targets, using advanced <strong data-start=\"947\" data-end=\"970\">Docking simulations<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"997\">Molecular Dynamics<\/strong> techniques. These simulations allow for the study of how drug molecules interact with proteins or other specific biological structures, which is essential for developing more effective treatments with fewer side effects. This technology allows biological structures to be represented in three dimensions, facilitating detailed analysis and study. Virtual reality, increasingly used in biomedical research, offers an innovative way to study and visualize complex biological interactions, which holds great potential for personalized medicine and health research.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1858\" data-end=\"2443\"><strong>This collaboration between the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda is a clear example of how the RePo-SUDOE project is strengthening cooperation among different research groups in the SUDOE area<\/strong>. Through exchanges like this, access to new technologies and methodologies is promoted, enriching research and fostering the creation of international scientific networks.
