Between April 2 and 4, a large group of water value chain stakeholders from Portugal, France, and Spain will meet at the headquarters of the University of Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro in Vila Real to advance the study of reclaimed urban water for agricultural irrigation. The meeting is organized within the framework of the European project I-ReWater, in which UTAD is participating as a beneficiary and responsible for the Portuguese pilot on olive trees through the Department of Agronomy of the School of Agricultural Sciences of Veterinary Medicine, directed by Professor Anabela Afonso Fernandes Silva.<\/p>\n
The agenda opens on Wednesday afternoon, April 2nd (4:00-7:00 PM)<\/strong> with a training session on installing trunk and soil sensors for irrigation control with reclaimed water. Technicians from the manufacturer, LabFerrer, are traveling from Lleida, Catalonia, with support from CITAD (Center for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences).
