This approach, known as <em data-start=\"4588\" data-end=\"4606\">drug repurposing<\/em>, offers a faster and more cost-effective path for developing innovative treatments, particularly for rare diseases or those lacking effective therapeutic options.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4771\" data-end=\"5145\">RePo-SUDOE\u2019s participation in Cullerciencia 2025 highlighted the importance of bringing biomedical research closer to society and fostering interest in the potential of bioinformatics to improve health.
