On 27 and 28 October, the 16 partners of the I-ReWater consortium travelled to Montpellier (Occitanie region, France) to meet in person for the second time since the kick-off in February in Lugo (Galicia), headquarters of the Campus Terra – USC coordinators. The hosts were the partners from INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment).

Then, between Tuesday 29 and Thursday 31, several partners participated in the 1st REUSED EUROMED Congress – Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Wastewater Reuse, promoted by Eau, Agriculture et Territoires, the INRAE REUSE Network and the EACC Partnership Chair: Water, Agriculture and Climate Change. At the end of the event, the organisers accepted the candidacy<\/a> of Javier J. Cancela, coordinator of I-ReWater, to host the second edition of the event in 2026.
\nDuring this sectoral forum, the results of the Life Cycle Analysis study of the pilot vineyard in La Rioja managed by the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (ICVV) were presented. The work of researcher Adri\u00e1n Agraso, from CRETUS – USC, was recognised with the award for best poster at the REUSE EUROMED 2024 conference, which was also the first prize for I-ReWater.<\/p>\n

Visit to the INRAE pilot project
\n<\/b>The meeting ended on 31st with a visit to the Gruissan pilot vineyard coordinated by the INRAE hosts. There, the group was able to see the test area and the treatment plant where the reclaimed water used to irrigate the vineyards is obtained.
\nThey also had the opportunity to talk to partners from this Interreg Sudoe Programme territory: Union des Associations Syndicales d’Hydraulique de l’Est Audois (ASEAUDE) and Communaut\u00e9 d’agglom\u00e9ration du Grand Narbonne.<\/p>\n
