The event will take place from <strong data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"475\">2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"517\">P\u00f4le administratif des C\u00e9zeaux<\/strong> (1, place Vasarely, 63178 Aubi\u00e8re Cedex, France), bringing together key actors in water management, environmental protection, and emergency response.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"669\" data-end=\"925\">Under the theme <strong data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"741\">\u201cUnderstanding and Acting on Emerging Contaminants,\u201d<\/strong> the workshop will focus on the risks posed by <strong data-start=\"788\" data-end=\"834\">per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)<\/strong> to natural ecosystems in Southwestern Europe, particularly in areas affected by wildfires.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"950\">The programme includes:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"1244\">\n<li data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"1085\">\n<p data-start=\"953\" data-end=\"1085\">A presentation of the ALERT-PFAS project and the current state of knowledge on PFAS in the SUDOE region (Spain, France, Portugal);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1149\">\n<p data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1149\">Open discussions and technical exchanges with participants;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1244\">\n<p data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1244\">Networking opportunities with an international community committed to sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1533\">This event is aimed at <strong data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1450\">water managers and operators, environmental authorities, emergency and civil protection services, protected area managers, researchers, and public administration representatives<\/strong> interested in innovative tools to assess, prevent and mitigate PFAS-related risks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1599\">\ud83d\udd17 <em data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1580\">To register or request more information: <\/em><em data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1736\">ryan.prud_homme@uca.fr<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, June 26, the Universit\u00e9 Clermont Auvergne will host an international technical workshop as part of the European project Interreg SUDOE ALERT-PFAS.
