The University of Toulouse and Ecofilae travelled to Montpellier (France) to take part in a meeting that also brought together the I-ReWater project, focused on water management.<\/h2>\n

The University of Toulouse<\/a>, coordinator of the SOLLAGUA project, together with partner Ecofilae<\/a>, presented the main advances and features of the initiative during the TARGET project consortium meeting, held on 7 October in Montpellier (France).<\/p>\n

The event brought together representatives from projects and institutions dedicated to water management in France, Spain, and Portugal<\/strong>, with the aim of promoting the exchange of experiences and strengthening cooperation between research initiatives.<\/p>\n

The programme included round tables and participatory workshops focused on the sustainable management of water resources, the use of reclaimed water, and the current state of technologies. Participants also took part in a technical visit to the Narbonne-Plage wastewater treatment plant, an example of good practices in water treatment and reuse.<\/p>\n

The event also featured the participation of the sister project I-ReWater, which, like TARGET and SOLLAGUA, is carried out under Specific Objective 2.5<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cPromoting access to water and sustainable water management\u201d of the European Regional Development Programme Interreg SUDOE.\"TARGET<\/p>\n

Collaboration and action<\/h3>\n

Specifically, the TARGET project<\/a> works on the development of strategies and action plans to integrate non-conventional water sources into local water management, while I-ReWater<\/a> analyses the current status of water resources within the SUDOE area, with a particular focus on the use of reclaimed water in irrigated agriculture and its effects on crop production and quality.<\/p>\n
