The event, titled <strong data-start=\"343\" data-end=\"382\">\u201cDying at Home in the Digital Age,\u201d<\/strong> aims to open a space for critical reflection from the perspective of applied ethics, with a focus on palliative care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"808\">The session will be opened by <strong data-start=\"532\" data-end=\"555\">Dr. Maylis Dubasque<\/strong>, whose talk will reflect on the desire to die at home, situated between personal choice and diverse socio-family realities. She will provide an introduction to the current historical context regarding the arrival of new technologies in palliative care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"810\" data-end=\"1386\">The day will continue with two participatory roundtable discussions. In the first, <strong data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"924\">Professor V\u00e9ronique Av\u00e9rous<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"948\">Dr. Terry Sim\u00f3n<\/strong> will delve into the ethical challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence in palliative care, with special attention to the role of the &#8220;trusted person&#8221; \u2014 a key figure in end-of-life decision-making. The second roundtable will address the challenges in the professional\u2013patient relationship, as well as the growing tension between the virtual closeness enabled by technology and the physical presence demanded by humanized care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1662\">The event will last for <strong data-start=\"1412\" data-end=\"1436\">one and a half hours<\/strong>, will be held <strong data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1464\">virtually<\/strong>, and will include <strong data-start=\"1483\" data-end=\"1530\">live subtitles for simultaneous translation<\/strong>.
