She emphasized that this plan, developed by the <strong>Massif Committee<\/strong> with the support of experts and local actors, fosters <strong>cooperation<\/strong> between institutions and territorial partners to identify <strong>vulnerabilities<\/strong> and structure concrete actions that enhance the <strong>resilience of Massif Central territories<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikographie.fr\/2025\/02\/25\/comment-les-stations-thermales-anticipent-leur-adaptation\/\">Marion Roussel <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikographie.fr\/2025\/02\/25\/comment-les-stations-thermales-anticipent-leur-adaptation\/\">\u2013 <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikographie.fr\/2025\/02\/25\/comment-les-stations-thermales-anticipent-leur-adaptation\/\">Director of national and European cooperation<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tikographie.fr\/2025\/02\/25\/comment-les-stations-thermales-anticipent-leur-adaptation\/\">, La Route des Villes d\u2019Eaux du Massif Central &amp; Thermauvergne<\/a>: presented and highlighted the European projects <strong>ThermEcoWat <\/strong>and <strong>GreenSPAS<\/strong>, essential for <strong>climate adaptation<\/strong> and strengthening the <strong>resilience of thermal spas<\/strong>. She revisited <strong>ThermEcoWat<\/strong>\u2019s objectives to enhance the <strong>resilience of thermal territories<\/strong>, while <strong>GreenSPAS <\/strong>improves <strong>public policies in thermal cities<\/strong> <strong>and regions across Europe<\/strong>. She stressed close cooperation with the Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes Region and European partners to share <strong>best practices<\/strong> and <strong>mobilize local actors<\/strong> to implement solutions adapted to each territory.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brgm.fr\/fr\">Claudine Lamotte \u2013 Hydrogeologist and Project Manager at BRGM<\/a> (French Geological Survey): presented the role of <strong>BRGM<\/strong>, the French partner of the <strong>ThermEcoWat<\/strong> project. She described the <strong>hydrothermal circuit of mineral waters<\/strong> and explained the <strong>potential impacts of climate change<\/strong> on these fragile resources. She emphasized the importance of <strong>cooperating <\/strong>with local and European actors to <strong>sustainably protect thermal waters<\/strong> and ensure management adapted to <strong>climate challenges<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtconseil.com\/\">Rachid Ainouche \u2013 Water-Health-Environment Expert, William Terry Conseil<\/a> \/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afth.asso.fr\/\"> AFTh<\/a>: presented the direct and chain consequences of <strong>climate change<\/strong> on <strong>thermal establishments<\/strong>, particularly on <strong>water resources<\/strong> and <strong>thermal activity<\/strong>. He noted that some areas, such as the <strong>Massif central<\/strong>, are among the most vulnerable, and outlined ongoing solutions to <strong>manage resources and enhance spa adaptation<\/strong>. He stressed the need to cooperate at all levels, local and European, around four axes: Monitor, Innovate, Collaborate, Adapt.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaudes-aigues.fr\/\">Michel Brousse \u2013 Mayor of Chaudes-Aigues<\/a>: presented his spa, a French pilot site for <strong>ThermEcoWat<\/strong>, as a privileged area to experiment with cooperation through co-creating, in his territory, a <strong>climate adaptation<\/strong> and action plan.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.terravolcana.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/article_cahier-espace-juillet-aout-2019_349_10.pdf\">\u00c9milie Peyronnet \u2013 Project Director Thermalism and Full Health, Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes Region: presented the regional thermal plan<\/a>, which aims to make <strong>spas destinations<\/strong> integrating health, physical activity, wellness, and nutrition. She also highlighted lessons from <strong>European exchanges<\/strong> with <strong>ThermEcoWat<\/strong> and <strong>GreenSPAS<\/strong>, citing, for example, the energy platform of <strong>S\u00e3o Pedro do Sul<\/strong> in <strong>Portugal<\/strong> and <strong>the Life Nieblas project<\/strong> for fog water recovery in the <strong>Viseu D\u00e3o Laf\u00f5es region<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.auvergnerhonealpes.fr\/actualites\/plan-thermal-la-region-accompagne-les-stations-dans-leurs-efforts-pour-se-moderniser\">Marie-Pierre Montoro-Sadoux \u2013 Vice President for Thermalism and Associations, Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes Region: presented the regional thermal plan<\/a>, supporting spas in modernization and diversification. She stressed cooperation with various territorial and European actors to make spas places of full health, integrating climate, environmental, and wellness challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>A sector committed to the future<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>This meeting demonstrated how initiatives such as<strong> ThermEcoWat <\/strong>and <strong>GreenSPAS<\/strong> can support <strong>thermal spas<\/strong> in their <strong>climate transition<\/strong>, offering concrete solutions to adapt to <strong>climate change<\/strong>, innovate for the environment, and remain attractive and sustainable destinations.<\/p>\n<p>It also illustrates the power of <strong>cooperation<\/strong> between territories, scientists, experts, and economic actors, essential to make local, national, and <strong>European thermal spas laboratories<\/strong> <strong>of environmental and wellness innovation<\/strong>.
