Forum 2025<\/strong>, with two complementary activities focused on <strong data-start=\"5789\" data-end=\"5858\">knowledge transfer and the dissemination of bioeconomy innovation<\/strong>, within the framework of the European project <strong data-start=\"5905\" data-end=\"5917\">NEWPOWER<\/strong>, co-financed by the <strong data-start=\"5938\" data-end=\"5973\">Interreg Sudoe Programme<\/strong><strong data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"812\">\u00a0\u2013 FEDER<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"5983\" data-end=\"6079\">Round table: <em data-start=\"6003\" data-end=\"6077\">Technology transfer to companies in the field of Bioeconomy from the UdL<\/em><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"6081\" data-end=\"6320\">On Tuesday, 25 November, the <strong data-start=\"6110\" data-end=\"6117\">UdL<\/strong> organised a round table that brought together university researchers and representatives from the agri-food sector to discuss the <strong data-start=\"6248\" data-end=\"6317\">challenges and opportunities of university\u2013industry collaboration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6322\" data-end=\"6631\">The discussion addressed topics such as the role of research centres in <strong data-start=\"6394\" data-end=\"6458\">developing technological solutions for the productive sector<\/strong>, the need to <strong data-start=\"6472\" data-end=\"6525\">improve connections between academia and business<\/strong>, and the importance of <strong data-start=\"6549\" data-end=\"6606\">turning scientific knowledge into tangible innovation<\/strong> that benefits society.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6633\" data-end=\"6896\">Speakers highlighted the value of <strong data-start=\"6667\" data-end=\"6690\">pilot plant testing<\/strong>, the need to <strong data-start=\"6704\" data-end=\"6778\">align timing and language between academic and industrial environments<\/strong>, and the importance of advancing towards a <strong data-start=\"6822\" data-end=\"6893\">more collaborative, cross-cutting and transferable innovation model<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1850\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" science closer to the public<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"6967\" data-end=\"7368\">On Thursday, 27 November, the <strong data-start=\"6997\" data-end=\"7004\">UdL<\/strong> presented the <strong data-start=\"7019\" data-end=\"7039\">NEWPOWER project<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"7047\" data-end=\"7083\">university\u2019s institutional stand<\/strong>, bringing science closer to visitors in a tangible way.<br data-start=\"7139\" data-end=\"7142\" \/>The team displayed <strong data-start=\"7161\" data-end=\"7203\">real samples of biomasses and extracts<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"7209\" data-end=\"7242\">pulsed electric field chamber<\/strong> used in its research, and a <strong data-start=\"7271\" data-end=\"7365\">demonstrative final product: an isotonic drink for athletes made from grape pomace extract<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7370\" data-end=\"7640\">Visitors were able to <strong data-start=\"7392\" data-end=\"7416\">see, touch and smell<\/strong> the different stages of the process \u2014 from biomass to the final product \u2014 and learn how <strong data-start=\"7505\" data-end=\"7541\">pulsed electric field technology<\/strong> enables the valorisation of agroforestry by-products into <strong data-start=\"7600\" data-end=\"7637\">sustainable, high-value solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2331\" data-end=\"2626\"><img
