The province of Soria is the setting for a pilot social innovation action within the SocialForest project, aimed at promoting the management of forest land not classified as being of public utility. The initiative is led by the Soria Forest Association (ASFOSO<\/a>), which is committed to combining community participation with advanced technological tools to encourage forest owners to keep their woodlands in good condition and thus prevent risks associated with new climate-related challenges.<\/p>\n

For its development, a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system has been created and implemented over the past year to facilitate interaction and monitoring with forest landowners. This tool has made it possible to mobilise 37 forest owners (27 private individuals or companies and 10 local councils in the province of Soria) who either lacked forest planning or had outdated plans, encouraging them to implement or renew their management plans. In percentage terms, this represents 54% more cases than when this CRM\/ERP system was not in place. Likewise, it allows for the uploading of territorial information linked to owners and their land, enabling more efficient and accurate information management.<\/p>\n

To develop this pilot action, innovative methodologies have been applied to analyse forest stands. This activity, included within the project, has enabled a temporal diagnosis of the evolution and changes in the resilience of forest stands across the Sudoe area. Remote sensing and analysis tools have been used to provide owners with visual and easy-to-understand information on the condition of their forests, helping them to better understand the risks they face if they continue without managing them.<\/p>\n

Through this pilot action, ASFOSO aims to activate dynamics that strengthen the social fabric and generate economic opportunities in rural areas.<\/p>\n
