Its main objective is to promote sustainable water resource management in irrigated agriculture across the SUDOE area. The project focuses on integrating the use of reclaimed urban water as an alternative source for agricultural irrigation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"972\">The lecture was delivered by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mar\u00eda Malia<\/span><\/span>, research technician for the project, and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mikel Land\u00edn<\/span><\/span>, a predoctoral researcher at the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">University of La Rioja<\/span><\/span> collaborating on the project.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1380\">Mar\u00eda Malia provided a general overview of the I-ReWater project, explaining its objectives, the international cooperation framework, and its relevance within water sustainability strategies in agriculture. She also briefly reviewed the European legislative framework regarding the use of reclaimed water in agriculture and presented preliminary agronomic results from the vineyard pilot developed at ICVV.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1382\" data-end=\"1634\">For his part, Mikel Land\u00edn focused on must quality aspects related to the project, addressing the study of physicochemical parameters and volatile compounds, as well as their potential influence on the organoleptic characteristics of the final product.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1636\" data-end=\"1988\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The session provided a valuable opportunity to bring students closer to applied research in the wine sector, allowing them to gain first-hand insight into how technological innovation, efficient water management, and circular economy principles can contribute to improving the sustainability of production systems and the quality of agri-food products.<\/p>\n<p><img
