My name is Javier Urrios<\/a>. I am an aerospace engineer and I focus my professional career on the space sector. I studied for my degree in Seville and later had the opportunity to move to Milan to complete a dual master\u2019s degree. During my studies, I carried out research work with both the University of Seville and the Polytechnic University of Milan, mainly focused on the optimisation of spacecraft trajectories using new propulsion technologies.<\/p>\n Later, I worked on an R&D project for Indra related to space traffic management and collision avoidance manoeuvres. During that period, my partners and I identified the same issue: there are no suitable commercial off-the-shelf tools for New Space companies. Existing tools were designed for large agencies and do not adapt well to the needs of New Space companies, which are smaller, more agile, operate with faster development cycles and have more limited budgets. For this reason, we decided to develop a space simulation software solution tailored to the needs of New Space companies. We call this software Orbita, developed by Hisperion Aerospace<\/a>.<\/p>\n
