During the month of March, representatives of the consortium are taking part in different leading events in Spain and Portugal to present the work carried out on the use of reclaimed water in irrigated agriculture.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"k25yb\" data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"598\"><strong>18 March: participation in the VIII Water Innovation Day in Barcelona<br \/>\n<\/strong>On Wednesday, 18 March, Pablo Est\u00e9vez Torrado, from <a href=\"https:\/\/gestagua.es\/\">Gestagua<\/a>, takes part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/cwp.cat\/en\/esdeveniment\/viii-water-innovation-day-3\/\">VIII Water Innovation Day<\/a>, the annual meeting of the water sector promoted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/cwp.cat\/es\/incio\/\">Catalan Water Partnership<\/a> and held at the CosmoCaixa Auditorium in Barcelona. As part of this event, he presents the research developed by I-ReWater in the session \u201cElevator pitch for R&amp;D projects for the sustainable use of water\u201d, a space dedicated to innovative initiatives aimed at improving water efficiency.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"1eulhz8\" data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1147\"><strong>25 March: webinar on water regeneration and reuse in the wine sector<br \/>\n<\/strong>On Wednesday, 25 March, Javier Cancela, coordinator of the I-ReWater project, will participate in the webinar \u201cWater regeneration and reuse in the wine sector\u201d, organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ptvino.com\/es\/inicio\/\">Wine Technology Platform<\/a> in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/interprofesionaldelvino.es\/\">Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organisation<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caixabank.es\/empresa\/agrobank\/agrobank_es.html\">AgroBank<\/a>. During his presentation, he will share the project\u2019s main advances related to the use of reclaimed water in irrigated agriculture, with special attention to the three vineyard pilot sites developed in:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1639\" data-end=\"1713\">\n<li data-section-id=\"dkljdp\" data-start=\"1639\" data-end=\"1662\">Alentejo (Portugal)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1c28so9\" data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1694\">Occitanie (southern France)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"b8d4ji\" data-start=\"1695\" data-end=\"1713\">La Rioja (Spain)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1715\" data-end=\"1838\">These pilot actions are led by the partners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iniav.pt\/\">INIAV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inrae.fr\/centres\/occitanie-montpellier\">INRAE Occitanie-Montpellier<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icvv.es\/\">Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"rdonu9\" data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"1924\"><strong>March: technical workshop on efficient irrigation water management in viticulture<br \/>\n<\/strong>Likewise, during the month of March, Javier Cancela is also taking part in one of the sessions of the training programme \u201cGest\u00e3o Eficiente da \u00c1gua de Rega na Viticultura\u201d, organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipvc.pt\/en\/ipvc\/escolas-ipvc\/escola-superior-agraria\/\">Higher School of Agriculture of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo<\/a>, within the 2025\/26 academic year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2229\" data-end=\"2414\">At this workshop, water reuse in viticulture plays a central role in the presentations linked to the I-ReWater project, highlighting new strategies for more sustainable wine production.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"10cl1lw\" data-start=\"2416\" data-end=\"2450\"><strong>Outreach and knowledge transfer<br \/>\n<\/strong>Through its presence at this type of event, I-ReWater reaffirms its commitment to knowledge transfer, international cooperation and the promotion of innovative solutions for the sustainable use of water resources in the SUDOE area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the month of March, the I-ReWater project takes part in several sector events in Spain and Portugal to share its progress in water innovation and reuse.
