{"id":64878,"date":"2026-04-28T12:14:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T10:14:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/noticia-proyecto\/i-rewater-encara-en-2026-el-ultimo-ano-de-ejecucion-con-una-intensa-agenda-de-eventos-internacionales\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T13:07:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T11:07:45","slug":"i-rewater-enters-its-final-year-of-implementation-in-2026-with-an-extensive-international-events-agenda","status":"publish","type":"noticia-proyecto","link":"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/noticia-proyecto\/i-rewater-enters-its-final-year-of-implementation-in-2026-with-an-extensive-international-events-agenda\/","title":{"rendered":"I-ReWater enters its final year of implementation in 2026 with an extensive international events agenda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"120\" data-end=\"365\">The I-ReWater project enters 2026, its third and final year of implementation, with a calendar marked by strategic meetings, international congresses and dissemination activities aimed at consolidating the results achieved during the initiative.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"367\" data-end=\"560\">Throughout the year, the consortium will promote different key activities linked to sustainable water management in irrigated agriculture and the use of reclaimed urban water in the SUDOE area.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"562\" data-end=\"630\" data-section-id=\"9oaxfi\"><strong>June: coordination meetings and international congress in Madrid<br \/>\n<\/strong>On 15 and 16 June, the fifth consortium meeting will take place in Madrid, a working meeting focused on the final coordination of actions and planning for the closure of the project.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"995\">Afterwards, from 17 to 19 June, the <a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/evento-proyecto\/i-rewater-ii-congreso-reuse-euromed-sobre-reutilizacion-del-agua\/\">II REUSE-EuroMed-2026 Congress<\/a> will be held in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid), a benchmark event in the field of water reuse.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1279\">Within the framework of this congress, the official presentation of the I-ReWater Hub and the DSS system (Decision Support System) is scheduled. These tools were developed to facilitate access to the knowledge generated and support decision-making in irrigation and water reuse.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1329\" data-section-id=\"owx17i\"><strong>October: international presence in Marseille<br \/>\n<\/strong>From 12 to 17 October, project representatives will attend the <a href=\"https:\/\/icidcongress2026.org\/fr\/\">26th ICID International Congress \u2013 Eau, Agriculture et Territoires<\/a>, to be held in Marseille (France).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1696\">This international event will bring together specialists and organisations linked to water, agriculture and territorial planning, offering a strategic space to share the I-ReWater experience.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1742\" data-section-id=\"1udmz14\"><strong>November: institutional closing in \u00c9vora<br \/>\n<\/strong>On 17 and 18 November, the city of \u00c9vora (Portugal) will host the sixth consortium meeting, one of the project\u2019s last in-person meetings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1891\" data-end=\"1942\">During this period, the following are also planned:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1944\" data-end=\"2145\">\n<li data-start=\"1944\" data-end=\"2057\" data-section-id=\"186aqj\">Presentation to public authorities of the I-ReWater Transnational Strategy for the Use of Reclaimed Water<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2145\" data-section-id=\"12hq7oq\">Presentation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cpf.gencat.cat\/en\/cpf_03_linies_actuacio\/cpf_transferencia_coneixement\/cpf_projectes_europeus\/cpf_life_demorgest\/actuacions-difusio\/CPF_Informe-Layman\/\">Layman\u2019s Report<\/a>, the project\u2019s final dissemination document<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2147\" data-end=\"2190\" data-section-id=\"ym3y8m\"><strong>Open days at the 15 project pilot sites<br \/>\n<\/strong>Throughout 2026, open days and awareness-raising activities will be held at the 15 demonstration pilot sites located in Spain, Portugal and France.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2345\" data-end=\"2546\">These actions will bring professionals, public administrations and citizens closer to the progress achieved in different crops, including vineyards, hops, almonds, olive groves and horticultural crops.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2548\" data-end=\"2590\" data-section-id=\"qwdlbb\"><strong>A strategic project for the SUDOE area<br \/>\n<\/strong>I-ReWater was approved under the first call of the Interreg Sudoe 2021-2027 programme and has a budget of more than \u20ac2.2 million, co-financed at 75% by the ERDF.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2763\" data-end=\"3134\">Between 2024 and 2026, the project is working to improve water resource management in agriculture through the safe and sustainable integration of reclaimed urban water.
