Within the e Rigation project, each partner plays a specific role and brings essential expertise to advance towards more efficient water management in agriculture. In this context, we highlight ACMG (Association Climatologique de la Moyenne-Garonne et du Sud-Ouest)<\/strong>, a leading organization in southwestern France in the fields of climate and climate change adaptation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

A key role in project development<\/span><\/h3>\n

In the e Rigation project, ACMG plays an important role in technical implementation<\/strong> and the transfer of results<\/strong>. The association is involved in the development of a pilot project in the Moyenne Garonne region (Lot-et-Garonne), where it integrates the developed solutions into its irrigation advisory service<\/strong>, based on soil moisture monitoring<\/strong> combined with a system of virtual stations<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, ACMG coordinates training activities for farmers<\/strong> to facilitate the adoption of the developed tools and leads awareness-raising actions targeting public decision-makers at both regional and European levels. It is also responsible for monitoring the project\u2019s quality control<\/strong>, ensuring the proper implementation of actions and the evaluation of results throughout the project lifecycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Experience and objectives<\/span><\/h3>\n

ACMG brings nearly 40 years of experience<\/strong> in irrigation advisory services, based on soil moisture monitoring and adapted to different crops and agricultural contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n

This expertise is complemented by its participation in European projects such as ClimAlert, Risk AquaSoil, Telerieg, and Precirieg, focused on water management and climate change adaptation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Within e Rigation, ACMG aims to facilitate access to decision-support tools that are accessible and effective, and can be used by the largest possible number of farmers<\/strong>. Its vision is to contribute to a more efficient and resilient agriculture, where innovation helps improve water resource management across the SUDOE territory.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
