In this context, <strong>Euskalmet<\/strong>, the Basque Meteorological Agency, plays a key role thanks to its experience in meteorology, climatology and data analysis, which is essential for the development of the project&#8217;s virtual weather stations.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">A key role in improving agroclimatic information<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Within e Rigation, Euskalmet leads the development of methodologies for the <strong>spatial prediction and interpolation of high-resolution meteorological data<\/strong>, combining geostatistical techniques, climate models and <strong>Machine Learning<\/strong> tools. Its work makes it possible to generate accurate agroclimatic information even in areas without nearby weather stations, improving the estimation of crop water requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">In addition, Euskalmet collaborates with the other project partners on the <strong>integration and validation of these solutions<\/strong> within irrigation management tools and takes part in <strong>training and knowledge transfer activities<\/strong> to facilitate their uptake by farmers and water managers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Experience and objectives<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Euskalmet\u2019s contribution is supported by solid expertise in the development of <strong>meteorological and climate models<\/strong>, time series analysis, advanced programming and the management of large meteorological data repositories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">The agency has also participated in projects related to climate change adaptation, including <strong>METEOGARBI, USE4FOREST, Urban Klima 2050 and Regions4Climate<\/strong>, aimed at strengthening the resilience of territories in the face of climate challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Through e Rigation, Euskalmet aims to <strong>improve the quality and availability of meteorological information used by decision-support tools<\/strong>, promoting more efficient irrigation water use and contributing to a more resilient and sustainable agricultural sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the e Rigation project, each partner contributes specialised expertise to promote more efficient water management in agriculture.
