The project partner opened the doors of their historic cellars and welcomed representatives from all 12 AgroSpace partner organizations across Spain, France, and Portugal into one of their private Portuguese quintas: Quinta do Ata\u00edde. In such a magnificent scenario, the main goal of the gathering was to review technical milestones and align priorities for the next AgroSpace implementation phase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>An in-depth analysis on the project status<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting opened with an operational status report from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieec.cat\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (IEEC), acting as project coordinator, setting the context for an in-depth review of the project\u2019s Work Package 2 (WP2) by the work package leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work Package 2 advances several key dimensions of the AgroSpace project, spanning <\/span><b>technical development, strategic alignment, and practical validation.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> On the technical front, effort is focused on implementing the core platform, defining a data architecture based on integrated data spaces, and pushing Earth observation beyond standard remote sensing applications through new soil and biodiversity space-based indicators, promoting the agroecological transition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategically, the consortium is aligning regional space frameworks while building a marketplace strategy driven by local-language webinars, B2B matchmaking, and thematic challenges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, real-world pilots are actively progressing, evaluating solutions for viticulture monitoring as well as disaster-risk management for the insurance sector to ensure broad operational impact.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Updates on the market outreach and the pilot fieldwork<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The market integration and practical application of the project outcomes was discussed, outlining plans for user outreach, thematic challenges, and B2B matchmaking sessions combining online events with in-person networking, and updates on the pilot projects were also provided.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regarding the pilot projects, progress was presented across two key operational areas: first, updates on the disaster-risk management pilot geared toward the insurance sector, highlighting the goal to expand stakeholder engagement across participating regions; and second, early results from the precision viticulture pilot. This second pilot is being conducted in Symington\u2019s grounds, which allowed to conclude the formal meeting sessions with a field visit to the pilot sites, offering partners a first-hand look at the monitoring infrastructure deployed in the vineyards.
