In this context, the participation of the <strong>Murcian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research and Development (IMIDA)<\/strong> stands out as a public research organization specialized in developing innovative solutions for the agri-food and environmental sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">A key role in the development and validation of tools<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Within e-Rigation, IMIDA contributes to the development and implementation of <strong>virtual weather stations<\/strong> to improve irrigation management in areas facing water scarcity. Its work includes the application of <strong>geostatistical techniques<\/strong>, the use of data from weather stations and satellite imagery, and collaboration with <strong>Euskalmet<\/strong> to fine-tune analysis and forecasting systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">In addition, IMIDA participates in the <strong>integration of these solutions into water management applications<\/strong>, the implementation of <strong>field trials under real production conditions<\/strong>, and <strong>training activities for farmers and irrigation communities<\/strong> to support the adoption of the developed tools.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Experience and objectives<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">IMIDA\u2019s contribution is built on extensive experience in <strong>remote sensing, geographic information systems, agroclimatic analysis, and irrigation advisory services<\/strong>, as well as its involvement in initiatives focused on sustainable water management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">The institute has also participated in leading projects such as <strong>LIFE TRIPLET, CLIMALERT Sudoe, TELERIEG Sudoe, REDSIM, and PRECIRIEG Sudoe<\/strong>, all aimed at technological innovation and helping agriculture adapt to environmental and climate-related challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #100c29;\">Within e-Rigation, IMIDA\u2019s main objective is to <strong>improve the accuracy of the information available for irrigation decision-making<\/strong>, particularly in areas where nearby weather stations are unavailable or where microclimatic conditions require more tailored solutions.
