{"id":72615,"date":"2026-09-17T14:17:26","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T12:17:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/?post_type=noticia-proyecto&#038;p=72615"},"modified":"2026-09-17T14:17:26","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T12:17:26","slug":"strategy-for-the-implementation-of-green-infrastructure-gi-in-wine-growing-landscapes-of-high-ecological-value-in-the-sudoe-space","status":"publish","type":"noticia-proyecto","link":"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/noticia-proyecto\/strategy-for-the-implementation-of-green-infrastructure-gi-in-wine-growing-landscapes-of-high-ecological-value-in-the-sudoe-space\/","title":{"rendered":"Strategy for the Implementation of Green Infrastructure (GI) in wine-growing landscapes of high ecological value in the SUDOE space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Within the framework of the Interreg Sudoe <a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/proyecto-interreg\/ecospherewines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ECOSPHEREWINES<\/strong><\/a> project, the <a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/DIGITAL_ECOSPHEREWINES_EN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Strategy for the Implementation of Green Infrastructure (GI) in wine-growing landscapes of high ecological value in the SUDOE space <\/strong><\/a>has been developed.<\/p>\n<p>This strategy draws on the experience gathered across four experimental areas in France, Spain and Portugal, selected for their biophysical, climatic and landscape diversity.<\/p>\n<p>Its main objective is to serve as a <strong>common strategic reference framework<\/strong> for actors in the wine sector, public administrations and private entities responsible for managing recognised wine-growing areas, helping them to <strong>identify, design and implement GI <\/strong>networks aimed at enhancing Ecosystem Services in vineyards.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, it proposes a common and coordinated approach across the entire SUDOE space that integrates wine production with biodiversity conservation, ecological connectivity and climate resilience, building on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ecological restoration of wine-growing landscapes.<\/li>\n<li>The implementation of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS).<\/li>\n<li>Coordinated territorial planning between regions.<\/li>\n<li>The integration of agricultural, environmental and tourism policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The strategy is structured around <strong>4 objectives<\/strong> developed through <strong>12 strategic lines<\/strong> and <strong>28 concrete actions<\/strong>, applicable by different stakeholder profiles and at different scales of intervention, from the plot to the wine-growing territory as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>With this roadmap and underpinned by participatory governance models with the active commitment of winegrowers, wineries, administrations and citizens<strong>, the SUDOE space aspires to establish itself as a European benchmark for ecological transition<\/strong>, where the vineyard functions as a resilient and multifunctional landscape that harmonises production, nature, culture and sustainable development.
