The SIVI Cluster participated in the 2026 SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival, held on September 14 and 15 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, where the REVITAL project was a finalist for the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Awards 2026 in the Prevention, Health & Longevity category.

This participation represents significant international recognition for this initiative, which aims to promote new forms of care and rehabilitation in rural and sparsely populated areas through the use of technologies applied to clinical telehealth and telerehabilitation.

During the Festival, the SIVI Cluster had the opportunity to present REVITAL to the international jury of the SilverEco Awards during the pitch session held on September 14. This presentation allowed them to share the project’s objectives, working model, and results with international experts, as well as highlight the experience developed by its partners in the participating territories.

REVITAL’s presence also extended to the Expo Forum, one of the Festival’s main meeting points, where the SIVI Cluster was able to showcase the project, share its experience, and network with other professionals, companies, organizations, and international stakeholders linked to the Silver Economy, innovation, and healthy aging.

Although the award in the Prevention, Health & Longevity category ultimately went to Walk With Path for its STRIDE-COM project, REVITAL’s status as a finalist allowed it to be included in an international selection of initiatives focused on improving prevention, health, and longevity. The Festival organizers included Cluster SIVI – REVITAL among the nominated projects in this category, along with other international initiatives.

SilverEco 2026: An International Gathering on the Silver Economy

The SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival, which celebrated its 18th edition in 2026, brought together professionals, companies, institutions, researchers, and organizations linked to the Silver Economy, longevity, innovation, and the demographic transition in Cannes. The program combined the Expo Forum exhibition space with professional meetings, networking sessions, conferences, and the SilverNight ceremony, where the SilverEco & Ageing Well International Awards were presented.

The program was structured around six international conferences: Nursing Homes Summit, Living at Home Summit, Yes We Care Summit, Silver Citizens Summit, SilverTech & AI Summit, and Healthy Ageing Summit, addressing issues related to care, independent living, elder care, participation of older adults, new technologies and artificial intelligence, and healthy aging.

For the SIVI Cluster, participation in this international meeting represented a new opportunity to showcase the work developed in REVITAL, share its results, and connect the project with other stakeholders in the international innovation ecosystem for healthy aging.

REVITAL: Innovation to Bring Rehabilitation to Rural Areas

REVITAL is coordinated by the Innovative Solutions for Independent Living Cluster (SIVI) and is funded by the Interreg Sudoe program. The project brings together entities from Spain, France, and Portugal with the aim of developing and validating a clinical telecare and telerehabilitation model that facilitates access to rehabilitation services in rural and sparsely populated areas.

REVITAL’s experience in the pilot territories and its participation in the SilverEco Awards thus contribute to giving international visibility to a model that places technological innovation at the service of more accessible, personalized, and person-centered care, especially in those areas where distance can hinder access to certain services.

REVITAL’s presence in Cannes thus represents a new international showcase for the project and for the joint work developed by its entire consortium, reinforcing the dissemination of its results and fostering new opportunities for collaboration in the field of health, rehabilitation and independent living.
