Under the title \u201cFrom research to market: biodiversity, sustainability and value creation in the wine sector\u201d, the event will bring together researchers, winery technicians, institutional representatives and international experts to share the project\u2019s main results and outline a roadmap towards more sustainable viticulture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/proyecto-interreg\/ecospherewines\/\">ECOSPHEREWINES<\/a> has worked for four years on integrating green infrastructure into wine-growing landscapes in south-western Europe, promoting nature-based solutions that reconcile quality wine production with biodiversity conservation and resilience to climate change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A programme connecting science, territory and market<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The conference will begin at 15:00 with a session dedicated to knowledge transfer in Portugal and France, two of the project\u2019s partner territories. The session will be structured around two complementary experiences:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>From research to the winery: sustainability and value creation in wine, with contributions<\/strong> from <strong>F\u00e1tima Gon\u00e7alves<\/strong>, assistant professor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utad.pt\/\">Universidade de Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD)<\/a>, and <strong>Jo\u00e3o Perry<\/strong>, managing director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jportugalramos.com\/pt\/douro\/\">Duorum Vinhos<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>From biodiversity to territorial recognition: research and valorisation of Gaillac wines<\/strong>, led by <strong>Enzo Dulieu<\/strong> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vignevin.com\/\">Institut Fran\u00e7ais de la Vigne et du Vin (IFV)<\/a>, and <strong>Caroline Granados<\/strong>, director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vins-gaillac.com\/venir-nous-voir\/la-maison-des-vins\/\">Maison des Vins de Gaillac<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Subsequently, <strong>Anabel Alba-Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, project officer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/juanadevega.org\/es\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n Juana de Vega<\/a>, will present the <a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/noticia-proyecto\/strategy-for-the-implementation-of-green-infrastructure-gi-in-wine-growing-landscapes-of-high-ecological-value-in-the-sudoe-space\/\">ECOSPHEREWINES Green Infrastructure Strategy<\/a>, a roadmap aimed at making viticulture more sustainable across the south-western European arc.<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon\u2019s centrepiece will be the <strong>round table<\/strong> entitled \u201cFrom knowledge to action: challenges and opportunities for integrating green infrastructure into the wine sector\u201d, moderated by <strong>Alfonso Ribas<\/strong>, Director of Research and Innovation at the <a href=\"https:\/\/juanadevega.org\/es\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n Juana de Vega<\/a>, with the participation of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mario de la Fuente<\/strong>, President of the Viticulture Commission of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oiv.int\/es\">International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Elena Vicente<\/strong>, Head of Section at the General Subdirectorate for Fruit, Vegetables and Viticulture of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapa.gob.es\/es\/\">Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mireia Torres<\/strong>, founding partner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viticulturaregenerativa.org\/\">Asociaci\u00f3n de Viticultura Regenerativa<\/a> and coordinator of the Sustainability area at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ptvino.com\/es\/inicio\/\">Plataforma Tecnol\u00f3gica del Vino (PTV)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following the conclusions and closing ceremony, the event will end with <strong>a wine tasting and a final networking session<\/strong> to share experiences and forge new connections.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/Programa-Evento-Final-ECOSPHEREWINES.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Programme and registration<\/a><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European project ECOSPHEREWINES, funded by the Interreg Sudoe programme, will hold its final conference on 17 November at the MOA Institute (Madrid).
