{"id":35299,"date":"2024-05-30T16:00:40","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T14:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/proyecto-interreg\/repo-sudoe\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T13:35:30","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T12:35:30","slug":"repo-sudoe","status":"publish","type":"proyecto-interreg","link":"https:\/\/interreg-sudoe.eu\/en\/proyecto-interreg\/repo-sudoe\/","title":{"rendered":"RePo-SUDOE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New drug development<\/strong> faces high costs, long delays and high failure rates. <strong>RePo-SUDOE<\/strong> emerges as a response to these challenges, focusing on <strong>drug repurposing<\/strong>: a strategy that repurposes existing drugs for new therapeutic applications, benefiting the pharmaceutical industry, society and patients.<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>main objective<\/strong> is to turn the SUDOE area into a European benchmark in drug repurposing, developing and disseminating advanced technologies that increase competitiveness and attract skilled talent.<\/p>\n<h4>How do we achieve this?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>We promote scientific knowledge and disseminate drug repurposing technologies<\/strong> among public and private actors, raising our R&amp;D centres to the level of European excellence.<\/li>\n<li><strong>We foster multidisciplinary collaboration<\/strong> through a transnational network, identifying innovative opportunities and developing methodologies, in the first instance, to treat cancer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>We created a 3D visualisation room<\/strong> with virtual and augmented reality technologies, offering an interactive and educational experience for young students and researchers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RePo-SUDOE unites for the first time partners from different SUDOE regions and areas of the drug development value chain in a common drug repurposing project.
