The project focuses on the SUDOE area, especially in rural areas, where the sector has a high economic, social and environmental impact.<\/p>\n<p>Key points:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>New requirements: separate recycling of textile waste and use of recycled fibres in clothing.<\/li>\n<li>Challenge: Aligning interests of different actors in a fragmented value chain.<\/li>\n<li>Strategy: holistic transnational approach designed by a consortium representing the recycling value chain.<\/li>\n<li>Objectives: to boost circularity in the SUDOE fashion industry and activate the value chain of recycled textile materials.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation: local action plans in Catalonia, Balearic Islands, Galicia, Occitania and Vale do Ave.<\/li>\n<li>Methods: information, training, mentoring, awareness raising and pilot actions.<\/li>\n<li>Pilots: 3 technological pilots for companies, 1 environmental impact measurement pilot and 1 gamification pilot in schools.<\/li>\n<li>Expected impact: 115 companies, 300 municipalities and local authorities, 16 waste management associations, 50 schools and a broad consumer base.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The project seeks to adapt the sector to new environmental requirements
