This document is a consolidated report of the territorial diagnosis of the textile and fashion sector in the SUDOE area (Catalonia, Portugal and France), carried out in the framework of the Fashion Forward project. The main objective of the report is to provide a basis for developing a transnational strategy to boost circularity in the textile and fashion industry in these territories.<\/p>\n

The key points of the report are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Objective:<\/strong>\u00a0To identify specific needs per territory and target group, detect technology gaps, map applicable technologies and provide tools to adapt to new regulations.<\/li>\n
  2. Methodology:<\/strong>\u00a0Surveys were carried out with different target groups (companies, public administrations, collection entities and consumers) and a SWOT analysis was elaborated.<\/li>\n
  3. Sectoral context:<\/strong>\u00a0The transition of the textile sector towards a more sustainable model is described, highlighting the environmental and social challenges faced by the industry.<\/li>\n
  4. Regulatory framework:<\/strong>\u00a0Key EU initiatives such as the European Green Pact, the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles, and the \u2018Transitions Pathway for the Textiles Ecosystem\u2019 are mentioned.<\/li>\n
  5. Changes in the value chain:<\/strong>\u00a0It illustrates how the sector\u2019s value chain has evolved from a linear to a circular model, including waste management.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The report aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the current state of the textile sector in the SUDOE area and lay the foundations for a collaborative strategy towards a more circular and sustainable model.<\/p>\n
