EREN is a public regional energy agency of the Castilla y Le\u00f3n region in Spain and the tool for the Castilla y Le\u00f3n’s economic and social representatives of facing up to energy questions related to energy efficiency, promoting of renewable energies and sustainable mobility focused from local entities to SME’s and citizens, developing in the region a great energy potential, and promoting an efficient uses of energy resources, always taking into account the best environmental balance towards a neutral carbon economy, contributing to the regional sustainable energy development.<\/p>\n
Its activities cover the following areas:
\n\u2022 Energy planning & development at regional level.
\n\u2022 Renewable Energies & energy efficiency: technical advisory to public entities, info to citizens and management of energy grants.
\n\u2022 Managing programmes and projects cooperation at local, regional, national and European level.
\n\u2022 Information, Dissemination and Training
\nIt has long experience to develop energy plans at regional level in the areas of wind power, solar thermal, bioenergy and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n
Nowadays EREN is responsible of energy building certification procedure register in the region and manager of ERDF and Next Generation funds related to energy at regional level.
\nEREN is Vice-President of Renewables in FEDARENE (European Federation of Agencies and Regions for Energy and the Environment). It is also in the Board of Eneragen (Association of Spanish Agencies for Energy Management) and Covenant of Mayor\u00b4s supporter.<\/p>\n
