ICTUS NET: acting against strokes

Categoría Management of projects approved

Between 2015 and 2035 the general number of strokes episodes in the EU will increase in 34%, from 613.148 in 2015 to 819.771 in 2035. Consequently, the stroke prevention must be a priority.

ICTUSNET aims to provide concrete solutions to this problem. For that, the last 5th April, the project held a thematic workshop on plans and programmes related to brain strokes. During the event, discussions on the organisational aspects relatives to the care of strokes in the acute stage and the subsequent rehabilitation were led. Participants exchanged ideas on strokes impact and reviewed the set of objectives and recommendations of scientific societies in this sense for the years 2018-2030(European Stroke Action Plan 2018-2030).
