SUDOE STOP CO2 launch event: a project for energy efficiency improvement of our stations

On 21/03/2017, Santander host the SUDOE STOP CO2 launch event, project approved during the Programme’s First Call for Proposals.

Responding to the priority axe nº3 called “ low carbon economy”, SUDOE STOP CO2 aims at promoting energy diagnosis of Southwestern European bus and train stations in order to provide eco-friendly solutions and reduce its environmental impact.

The event, which gathered around 50 people from the transport sector, started with an introduction on the main project priority: energy efficiency of transport stations and its impact on urban areas, highlighting the influence on citizens quality of life. The seminar was completed by interventions of professionals from different sectors who focused, among other things, on engineering application for the energy efficiency, bus stations development and role of territorial policies and application of advanced technologies for energy diagnosis.

SUDOE STOP CO2, which received 865.555, 22 € from FEDER, has a duration of 36 months (until June 2019)
