Paulo Santos Costa advances nursing science as a Professor in the Gerontogeriatric Nursing Department at the Nursing School of the University of Coimbra (ESEUC). He holds a PhD in Nursing from the Universidade Cat\u00f3lica Portuguesa, along with a Master\u2019s degree in Nursing specializing in Ward Management from the Nursing School of Coimbra (2017). His academic background also includes a Post-Degree Specialization in Community Nursing from the Red Cross Northern Health School and postgraduate training in Gerontogeriatrics and Clinical Supervision at the Nursing School of Coimbra. Collaborative by nature, Paulo serves on the boards of the Phi Xi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and the Portuguese Association of Vascular Access (APoAVa). He contributes to academic publishing as an Academic Editor for BMC Nursing (Springer Nature) and Nursing Research and Practice (Wiley), a Guest Editor for several Special Issues, and a peer reviewer for more than 40 indexed journals. Paulo\u2019s work is reflected in the co-authorship of over 100 scientific articles, 15 book chapters, and the development of 8 patents and utility models. His contributions have been recognized through multiple national and international accolades.
