Os trabalhos desenvolvidos no \u00e2mbito do NEWPOWER &#8211; Interreg Sudoe combinam diferentes etapas de hidr\u00f3lise, fermenta\u00e7\u00e3o e extra\u00e7\u00e3o, com o objetivo de melhorar o aproveitamento dos recursos residuais e obter produtos de valor acrescentado.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"oyad0y\" data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"529\">Compara\u00e7\u00e3o de diferentes microrganismos<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"699\">A equipa avaliou o comportamento de tr\u00eas microrganismos \u2014<em data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"608\">Lactococcus lactis<\/em>, <em data-start=\"610\" data-end=\"631\">Lactobacillus casei<\/em> e <em data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"659\">Lactobacillus rhamnosus<\/em>\u2014 em diferentes condi\u00e7\u00f5es experimentais.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"882\">Os resultados obtidos mostram que <em data-start=\"735\" data-end=\"756\">Lactobacillus casei<\/em> \u00e9 a alternativa mais promissora entre as esp\u00e9cies estudadas, ao alcan\u00e7ar os melhores resultados na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"1004\">Esta compara\u00e7\u00e3o permite selecionar o microrganismo mais adequado e orientar as pr\u00f3ximas fases de otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o do processo.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1x4jpaz\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1043\">Condi\u00e7\u00f5es que favorecem a produ\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1151\">Os ensaios permitiram tamb\u00e9m identificar alguns dos fatores que mais influenciam o rendimento do processo.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1351\">Em concreto, uma menor concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1cido sulf\u00farico durante a primeira fase de hidr\u00f3lise e uma temperatura mais baixa na segunda etapa favorecem a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico atrav\u00e9s de <em data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1350\">L. casei<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1536\">Paralelamente, os ensaios explorat\u00f3rios de extra\u00e7\u00e3o atingiram n\u00edveis de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o pr\u00f3ximos dos 87 %, um resultado que permitir\u00e1 continuar a ajustar as diferentes etapas do processo.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1exii8p\" data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1556\">Pr\u00f3ximos passos<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1728\">Os pr\u00f3ximos trabalhos ir\u00e3o centrar-se no aperfei\u00e7oamento das condi\u00e7\u00f5es identificadas, na otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o da extra\u00e7\u00e3o e na defini\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema de purifica\u00e7\u00e3o do \u00e1cido l\u00e1ctico.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1870\">Ser\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m estudada a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de ultrassons entre as duas fases de hidr\u00f3lise, a fim de avaliar a sua capacidade para melhorar o processo.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"2141\">Estes avan\u00e7os contribuem para o objetivo do NEWPOWER de desenvolver novas rotas biotecnol\u00f3gicas para transformar biomassa residual em produtos de valor acrescentado e promover um aproveitamento mais eficiente e sustent\u00e1vel dos recursos agroflorestais e agroindustriais.<\/p>\n<p>Podes acompanhar a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto atrav\u00e9s dos canais oficiais do NEWPOWER no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/showcase\/newpower-sudoe\">LinkedIn<\/a> e no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/newpower_sudoe\/\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"221\"><strong>O futuro exige-o.
