Localiza\u00e7\u00e3o do s\u00edtio piloto<\/strong>
\nA a\u00e7\u00e3o piloto decorre no concelho de M\u00e9rtola, na regi\u00e3o do Alentejo, um territ\u00f3rio caracterizado por sistemas agroflorestais de elevado valor ecol\u00f3gico e particularmente vulner\u00e1vel ao aumento do risco de inc\u00eandios associado \u00e0s altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas. A a\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 liderada pela Associa\u00e7\u00e3o para o Estudo e Defesa do Patrim\u00f3nio Natural e Cultural do Concelho de M\u00e9rtola (ADPM-M\u00e9rtola).<\/p>\n

Descri\u00e7\u00e3o das a\u00e7\u00f5es previstas<\/strong>
\nO piloto contempla a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de medidas de preven\u00e7\u00e3o e combate a inc\u00eandios, orientadas para melhorar a resili\u00eancia dos habitats agroflorestais. As interven\u00e7\u00f5es centram-se na promo\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade vegetal e na regenera\u00e7\u00e3o natural dos povoamentos, na redu\u00e7\u00e3o da eros\u00e3o superficial do solo e na melhoria da gest\u00e3o das massas florestais sem grandes mobiliza\u00e7\u00f5es de terreno. Ser\u00e3o ainda promovidas ferramentas e t\u00e9cnicas comprovadas, com o objetivo de capacitar e empoderar os propriet\u00e1rios florestais para uma gest\u00e3o mais sustent\u00e1vel e adaptativa.<\/p>\n

Resultados e aplica\u00e7\u00f5es esperadas<\/strong>
\nEspera-se que estas medidas contribuam para reduzir o risco de inc\u00eandios e a perda de biodiversidade, ao mesmo tempo que reforcem a resili\u00eancia ecol\u00f3gica e socioecon\u00f3mica do territ\u00f3rio. O piloto pretende demonstrar que uma gest\u00e3o florestal eficaz pode compatibilizar a conserva\u00e7\u00e3o dos ecossistemas com a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento de fontes de rendimento ligadas \u00e0 floresta, servindo como refer\u00eancia para outras zonas agroflorestais do sul de Portugal.<\/p>\n
