AquaValor - Water Technology Transfer and Valorisation Centre, is a Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB - FCT) located in Alto Tâmega region, focused on the thematic area of Water. It aims to boost natural mineral waters as an asset for regional development, along with other endogenous resources. The AquaValor main core areas are Health, Food and Beverages, Cosmetics and Cosmeceuticals, and Information Systems & Digital Technologies. It also has a water characterization laboratories and analysis (accredited by IPAC – Portuguese Institute for Accreditation, according to ISO 17025), focused on providing specialized services. The developed Research, Development & Innovation (R&D&I) activities are based on a co-creation model with all stakeholders, and on low-carbon circular economy and digital transition principles. It has an international focus on generating value for society in a broad sense, and particularly for the economic and social enterprises.
