Área de competencia: UCOMUR is the Business Organisation that defends and represents Worker Cooperatives and the Social Economy in the Region of Murcia, as well as advocating the interests of the cooperative movement, participating in the specific areas of cooperativism at regional, state, European and world level, through the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA). UCOMUR's priority objective at the present time is the creation and maintenance of worker cooperatives, as a collective entrepreneurial model, which creates stable employment for people, who are the central axis of the cooperative, rather than capital, generating wealth and social cohesion.It is the interlocutor of the cooperative movement in the Region of Murcia before the institutions, the administration and social agents and establishes working agreements and conventions with different social entities: trade unions, associations, foundations, town councils, etc.Other objectives of UCOMUR are the promotion and development of the cooperative model; the work for the creation of stable and quality employment; the training and retraining of workers; the strengthening of cooperative enterprises; inter-cooperation, including gender equality, job placement, solidarity, and ultimately works for the consolidation of an equitable, sustainable and democratic economic model.UCOMUR also offers a specific support service for entrepreneurs in the Region of Murcia, so that anyone who has a business idea, if it is viable, can start up their project.
