Invasive species are a major (the main) cause of loss of biodiversity. They contribute not only to the extinction of flora and fauna, but they are also clear bioindicators of the effects of global warming and climatic change. Prevention, minimisation and erradication of invasive species are critical to regenerate natural ecosystems and to reduce the effects of climatic change, since the substitution of these invasive species for CO2 capturing means higher levesl of Co2 absortion and, as a consequence, a lower impact on the processes linked to climatic change.

The project is aimed at:

A) Minimising the effects of invasive species.

B) Regenerating natural and urban areas degraded by invasive species.

C) Raising social and labour opportunities for people in risk of exclusion to join labour market by creating green employment.
