SCAIRA Entrepreneur: Tonny Velin (AICRUM IT)

Tonny Velin “AICRUM IT”

Meet Tonny Velin, selected in the second call with his project AICRUM IT.

Tell us briefly about yourself and your background!

My name is Tonny Velin and I hold a degree in Computer Science from the Universities of Bordeaux and Toulouse. I have over 35 years’ experience in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector. I began my career at the European Space Agency (ESA) and, since then, I have developed and managed projects and missions in France, Germany, Belgium, Canada and Spain, working across both industry and the public sector, particularly in the fields of ICT, space and defence.

Since 1994, I have led ICT-based SMEs focused on innovation, and I have managed and participated in R&D projects within national and European programmes such as Horizon Europe, H2020, FP7, FP6 and the EUREKA clusters (ITEA, CELTIC and EUROSTARS). I am currently President of CENTIC, the ICT Technology Centre of the Region of Murcia, and CEO of AICRUM IT. My main motivation for embarking on this project stems from a desire to gain a deeper understanding of how to scale projects effectively.
