Cooperation themes

  • The cooperation themes are the lines of action along which promoters must develop their project idea.

How were these cooperation themes defined for the Interreg Sudoe programme?

The cooperation themes of the Interreg Sudoe programme are in line with the guidelines of European cohesion policy for the 2021-2027 cooperation period. These guidelines are set out in the European regulations in a series of Specific Objectives (SO) that programmes financed by the cohesion funds must support.

The 9 Specific Objectives supported by the Interreg Sudoe programme echo the 2 strategic guidelines that stem from the programme’s identity:

  1. 1- Preserving natural capital and strengthening adaptation to climate change in the Sudoe area
  2. 2- Strengthening social cohesion and territorial and demographic balance in the Sudoe area through innovation and endogenous development.

These 9 Specific Objectives are distributed in these 4 priorities:

  • – Priority 1: Preserving the natural capital and strengthening adaptation to climate change in the Sudoe area
  • – Priority 2: Promoting social cohesion and territorial and demographic balance in the Sudoe area through innovation and the transformation of productive sectors
  • – Priority 3: Promoting social cohesion and territorial and demographic balance in the Sudoe area through social innovation, enhancement of heritage and services
  • – Priority 4: Strengthening the capacity of Sudoe to have an impact on its territories
