The Agrobotics-DiTwins project was recently presented at the “Ecosystems in Action” event held in Alhaurín de la Torre, as part of the Misión initiative (RETECH). The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities related to technological ecosystems in Andalusia.

During the session, the potential of digital twins to address complex challenges through advanced simulation, predictive analysis and infrastructure optimisation was highlighted. In this context, Agrobotics-DiTwins was presented as a relevant initiative aimed at applying digital twin technologies in the agricultural sector.

The project focuses on facilitating the adoption of robotics and automation in rural environments, contributing to the modernisation and digitalisation of agriculture. By promoting innovative solutions tailored to the needs of the agri-sector, Agrobotics-DiTwins supports the development of more efficient, sustainable and technologically advanced rural ecosystems.

The consortium would like to thank the Medical Robotics and Digital Twins Laboratory of the University of Málaga for contributing to the dissemination of the project through this event.

Acknowledgement is also extended to the organisations involved in making this initiative possible, including the Andalusian Digital Agency, Jaén City Council, El Ejido Town Council, the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras and Alhaurín de la Torre Town Council, for fostering collaboration between public administrations, academia and industry.

Events such as this play an important role in strengthening innovation ecosystems and promoting the uptake of advanced digital technologies with tangible impact on regional development.
