On 25 September 2025, I-ReWater partner the Irrigation Office – EA Tàrrega organised a conference on the efficient and sustainable use of water at the Agricultural School of Tàrrega.
Several technical presentations by Víctor Altés (UdL), Javier Martinez (Veolia Agricultura) and Xavier Pagès (Regaber) addressed the effects of water quality on crops and irrigation systems, as well as its efficient management and filtration. The I-ReWater project, coordinated by Javier J. Cancela (Campus Terra, University of Santiago de Compostela), was also presented. The project aims to improve water resource management in agriculture by integrating the use of reclaimed water into agricultural crops and considering environmental aspects that ensure its proper use in light of the current climate crisis. The voice of irrigators was present at the round table, where technicians from irrigation communities shared their real problems.
