On Friday, 6 June, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., an awareness-raising and open house event was held at the Cubillos del Sil pilot site as part of the I-ReWater project.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the trials being conducted with regenerated urban water to study its impact on crops.
The event concluded with a tasting of experimental beers made with hops harvested in 2024 at the project’s two hop pilot sites in Abegondo (A Coruña, Galicia) and this farm in Cubillos del Sil (Castilla y León). The plots are owned by LUTEGA and SAT Lúpulos de León, respectively.
With the aim of improving knowledge about the use of reclaimed water in agricultural irrigation, the 15 I-ReWater pilot projects are organising open days and awareness-raising events. This was the second of the fifteen planned, with the next one taking place on Tuesday 17th at the hop pilot project in Abegondo. Check here for the calendar of all the conferences.
