The partners of the ROBOTA-SUDOE project met on 22 and 23 January in the Alicante region for the annual meeting marking the project’s first year. Hosted by the Spanish partner AIJU, the event brought together the full consortium to review technical progress, financial aspects and overall project coordination.
Over two days, discussions focused on assessing achievements and consolidating the roadmap for the next stages of development of robotic solutions for the meat and toy sectors.
22 January: Strategic Coordination and Industrial Visit to JUEMA
On 22 January, the first day was held in collaboration with JUEMA, an industrial company specialising in doll manufacturing.
Following an opening session dedicated to project updates and priorities, partners exchanged views on progress achieved and upcoming milestones.
The afternoon was devoted to a visit to JUEMA’s facilities, including the robotic cell currently under development, designed to automate doll demoulding and assembly operations.
This industrial immersion enabled direct interaction with technical teams and provided valuable insight into the integration of collaborative robotics in a real production environment.
The day concluded with a working dinner in Alicante, strengthening collaboration among partners.

23 January: Collaborative Work and Visit to AIJU
On 23 January, the meeting continued at AIJU, a leading technology centre in the toy and plastics sectors.
Discussions focused on ongoing developments, next steps and overall project coordination.
The morning concluded with a visit to AIJU’s facilities, including its laboratories and innovation infrastructure, highlighting its central role in supporting the development of robotic solutions for SMEs.
