The European project Agrobotics-DiTwins, co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe Programme, held its second in-person consortium meeting on 2–3 February at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia of the University of Algarve in Faro, Portugal. The event brought together partners from Spain, France and Portugal to review the progress of the project and coordinate the next technical steps in the development of innovative agro-robotics solutions.

During the meeting, the consortium assessed the activities carried out so far and aligned criteria for the preparation of upcoming technical deliverables. Discussions also focused on advancing the common approach for the design and implementation of the project’s living labs, which will serve as key environments for experimentation and validation of agro-robotic solutions through digital twins.

The sessions also addressed transversal aspects such as communication strategy, quality and monitoring procedures, and the planning of future pilot actions with agricultural companies. In parallel, the project launched a questionnaire aimed at agricultural SMEs, cooperatives and sector organisations interested in participating in the living labs, with the objective of identifying operational needs and opportunities for the application of robotic solutions. Through these actions, Agrobotics-DiTwins continues to strengthen collaboration with the agricultural ecosystem in the SUDOE region and support the sector’s transition towards Agriculture 5.0.
